Biography
"It is better to die on the battlefield than to live to be old."
Sioux saying
My copywriting and editorial writing has been published in more places than I could ever count. Among the published media: over six years writing editorial and advertising features for the Calgary Herald and Source Media. I've been a sportswriter covering the National Hockey League for over 20 years; and I periodically work for a creative agency, editing annual reports and websites and sometimes have been asked to write copy.
I have conducted several writing-related workshops, which includes helping people develop a manuscript, improve their writing skills, and in the past year, I’ve been working with a high school teacher on a joint workshop (Reluctant Readers/Reluctant Writers) to foster literacy, which we launched a year ago at the Calgary Drop In Center and presented at the Calgary Teachers Convention this year.
Also, I'm known as a publishing expert. I have helped make books come true all over North America from working hand-in-hand with authors, through workshops and seminars, or my bestselling book “Self-Publishing 101.” I've authored, edited, ghosted, and project managed over 100 books, including ten of my own.
Most of my clients are not local, and we communicate through telephone, email, and social networks. My client list includes: Alberta government (Employment and Immigration), Brian Willis (law enforcement), Alvin Law (professional speaker), Merge Gupta-Sunderji (professional speaker and corporate leadership trainer), Hockey Canada, Stan Fischler (The Hockey Maven), Altitude Publishing, Government of Canada, Brian Lee (professional speaker), Merlin Edge, and many more.
Whether it's for an author, corporation, or proprietor, I am able to make new media marketing relevant. I love it, too, so those who need help navigating the fear, you need to connect with me.
