Biography
An accomplished resident of the Silicon Valley, Mr. David Aronica brings a unique skill set to his current position as Director of Global Education Design & Development for VMware, a Palo Alto-based provider of virtualization solutions and cloud computing software. David Aronica was promoted to his current position after a successful stint as Director of Partner Enablement & Field Readiness. David Aronica joined VMware in 2004 as Manager of Sales & Technical Field Readiness. In his present position, David Aronica focuses on the development of educational curricula and training courses for 3 distinct groups within VMware: customers, sales professionals, and its 20,000-plus corporate partners. A strategically minded leader, David Aronica efficiently streamlined the training process, merging all three groups into a singular Education Organization. Since joining the company, David Aronica has been a key factor in VMware’s growth, helping expand the company from 600 to 6,500 employees and $250 million to $2 billion in revenue. Before joining the leadership team of VMware, David Aronica leveraged his considerable abilities toward his position as Senior Product Manager for Sun Microsystems. As a Senior-level manager for Sun, David Aronica successfully spearheaded 6 successful product launches and managed a $250 million line of complex server products. For his substantial leadership, David Aronica earned Sun’s coveted “Management Excellence” award. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, David Aronica acquired his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. David Aronica also attended Cornell University, where he received his MBA. In his spare time, David Aronica enjoys cycling and running. David Aronica also volunteers in his community, frequently donating his time as a Little League coach.
