First there was a gritty win on Furniture. Chris Woods was a quarter horse champion in Australia. In that very same season he became known to the world as a successfully jockey. Born as Christopher J. Woods in Australia, where he started racing horses at the age of 18. He became champion jockey and was to repeat that feat many times between over.

This is a story of horse racing told through the most fascinating races around the world.

He holds the record for most wins in a season in his division, he won his first Derby the following year.
