Ms. Spence is an author, speaker and online strategy coach based in Long Beach, Calif. who help creative professionals cultivate a thriving online presence that attract better clients, projects and opportunities.
Her background is in public relations, marketing and publications. She has worked for such companies as New Century Financial, Vocus, Inc., Z-Tech (for genome.gov), Blue Shield of California, City of Hope and KidsGrowth.com.
Ms. Spence is a graduate of University of California, Santa Cruz, earning her Bachelor's degree in Biology. She also earned her Master's in Journalism, specializing in science communication and public relations, from University of Maryland, College Park. In fact, the graduate program she participated in was named the number 1 graduate public relations program in the United States by U.S. New & World Report.
In her spare time Ms. Spence enjoys cooking, reading, writing and digital photography. She is an avid science fiction fan.
