Brian Wentworth is a finance professional with an analytical background of internal auditing, management, insurance fraud investigations and insurance claims administration.
Brian has held positions as Director of Audit, Senior Auditor, Director of Claims, Special Investigations Unit, Analyst, Senior Claims Examiner and Senior Adjuster.
In his roles in the field of internal auditing, Brian Wentworth has served as Director of Audit and Senior Auditor. These positions were held within the insurance industry and originally based out of, and expanded from claims operations. Brian was appointed to the position of Senior Auditor and assigned the task of creating and implementing the first internal audit function in the corporation at the time. In the second time in his career, appointed to the position of Director of Audit, Brian Wentworth was given the task of heading, creating and implementing the first internal audit function and department in that corporation at the time.
Brian has extensive experience with insurance claim management, investigations and administration. He has held a position as Director of Claims, managing the Boston claim operation for a large third party administrator of disability claims. Brian has also held a position within a Special Investigations Unit investigating disability claims for an insurance carrier, and one of two employees to first create and implement the function in the company at the time. In addition, he has also held several positions directly handling multiple types of claims on the insurance corporation side of the industry, as well as directly handling claims on the third-party administrator and broker side of the industry, providing experience in serving client’s needs in their claim losses.
His well rounded and complete experience in finance and insurance covers the areas of; Individual, Commercial, Public and Group losses, Worker’s Compensation, Disability Income, LTD/STD, Social Security, Police & Fire, a variety of Professional Business Disability coverages and a variety of Property & Casualty coverages.
Brian is completing his B.S. in Finance, has achieved several insurance industry designations and is licensed and bonded by the State of New York as an Independent Insurance Adjuster.
When he is not working, Brian is a passionate supporter of alcohol and substance abuse prevention and treatment. He volunteers his time in speaking regularly with patients and residents at halfway houses, rehab, and detox facilities all over southern New England.
Brian Wentworth currently resides in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. In his spare time, Brian is an admirer of historic architecture and enjoys touring New England’s many historical sites, as well as Revolutionary War and Civil War battlefields nationally. Brian Wentworth is also well experienced as an ocean power boater, as well as being sail trained and experienced.
