Biography
Rico J. Delodovici ’s energetic approach to life is due in large part to his early career as a high school athlete. During his time at Balboa High School in San Francisco, Rico J. Delodovici was a member of the football and track and field teams. As a football player, he served as center and linebacker. Rico J. Delodovici was honored at least three times by his fellow team members and his coaches. In track and field, Rico J. Delodovici finished among the top six contestants in San Francisco for three consecutive years in the arena of shot put and discus. Rico J. Delodovici ’s junior college football endeavors, with City College of San Francisco, saw him named Most Valuable Offensive Lineman, despite being one of the smallest players in that position.
Rico J. Delodovici majored in English at California State University, now Cal State East Bay, located in Hayward, Calif. He graduated with honors in 1978 with a B.A. in English. Some years later, Rico J. Delodovici went back to school for further education, this time to Golden Gate University in San Francisco. There he studied accounting and graduated with honors in 1992 with a Certificate in Accounting.
After gaining experience working for various accounting and tax firms, Rico J. Delodovici purchased an accounting firm in 1999. Rico J. Delodovici served as owner and principal of Larson Tax Service for nine years. He sold the business in 2007 while continuing to serve as a consultant to the firm.
Rico J. Delodovici specialized in tax preparation and planning for individuals and small businesses. He is an advocate for taxpayer rights who represents the interests of taxpayers at audit and collections procedures. Rico J. Delodovici holds the designation, Enrolled Agent, which is a federally licensed tax professional.
Rico J. Delodovici is an active member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the California Society of Enrolled Agents, particularly CSEA affiliate Golden Gate Chapter. A past-president of the chapter, Rico J. Delodovici has served more than 10 terms on the chapter’s Board of Directors and three terms on the CSEA Board of Directors. Rico J. Delodovici also served as tax agency liaison committee chair for CSEA for five years.
In his spare time, Rico J. Delodovici has studied drawing at a gallery in San Francisco for more than six years. He is also an amateur musician, playing guitar at the Blue Bear School of Rock and Blues in San Francisco.
Reprising his earlier athletic years, Rico J. Delodovici enjoys open water swimming, tai chi and the Alexander Technique, which teaches effortless movement and posture as applied to daily life.
