Jared Anthony Juliano was born on February 2nd, 1982, bearing the same initials as the famed author James Joyce, born exactly 100 years earlier to the day. While some would think of this as a mere coincidence, Jared invites you to draw your own conclusions.
Although he was born in Hartford, Jared spent his formative years living in the small Connecticut towns of Watertown and Prospect. He attended Masuk High in Monroe, where he finished in the top 5% of his graduating class and received several awards. During his time at Masuk, Jared acquired a love of travel, participating in two ten-day educational tours of Europe. Despite his best efforts, he completely failed to be left behind in England on both occasions, and had to settle for returning to the US and finishing his high school career.
Next, Jared continued his record of academic success at the University of Connecticut, where he studied between 2000-2004. He majored in English and graduated Magna cum Laude with a 3.78 GPA. In the process, he became a member of both the Golden Key and Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Societies, was named to the Dean's List on eight occasions, and was a three-time New England Scholar. After a summer spent digging himself out from under a pile of his accolades, Jared moved to the Boston area to afford himself opportunities that the farms and woods of Connecticut could not provide.
Jared has held many kinds of jobs in his life. He has worked as a dishwasher, cashier, camp counselor, general merchandise clerk, and data entry technician. In Boston, he made his living as a temp worker with Professional Staffing Group, through whom Jared was contracted to Ziggs, Inc. from December 2004 until August 2006.
In September 2006, Jared left for the not-quite-sunny climes of London, where he completed a year-long postgraduate course, earning an MA with Distinction in Film Studies. After a few months of soul-searching and stagnation, Jared returned to Ziggs in January 2008 and was promoted to Content Coordinator in May.
In his copious amounts of spare time, Jared enjoys watching movies, writing, reading, puttering around the Internet, listening to music, traveling, and memorizing all manner of trivia.
