A 2009 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Business Management, Blake now holds the position of Director of Video Operations for Georgia State University Athletics. In this position Blake is responsible for the day to day operations of the Video Department including: budgeting and equipment purchasing; filming and editing of all Football Practices and Games; production of videos for Jumbo Screens, Commercials and other promotional materials; leadership of several video interns; and numerous other tasks which fall under his area. Blake started the GSU Video Department from scratch, quickly building it from nothing to a fully functioning video department in three weeks with a goal of competing in video excellence with that of top tier college athletic programs.
Prior to Georgia State University Blake served as a Student Video Intern with the Georgia Tech Athletic Association Video Department on Scholarship. He was responsbile for similar roles at Georgia Tech, and also created the Nationally Award Winning Football Recruiting Video in 2008.
From 2002-2009 Blake served as the Production Director for the 333 Service and ONEWAY Student Ministries at The Torch Worship Center. During his tenure he helped to develop a media ministry, originally with only an overhead projector, into a thriving program incorporating live video, lighting, audio and stage design; as well as leading, training and recruiting volunteers to fill the production positions. For the 333 service he led a group of 20+ volunteers in the weekly production of the cutting edge services.
In the future Blake hopes to be able to use his passions, talents and skills in Creative Production and Leadership to develop and lead teams of people dedicated to entertaining guests and creating environments where they can relax, enjoy and create memories!
