Biography
"Difficulty is no use for complacency."
Barak Obama
I am a communications and publishing expert whose goal is to help improve the professionalism of the printed word.
COMMUNICATIONS TRAINING AND COACHING AND MAKING WORKPLACE LITERACY SEXY
One wrong keystroke in a technology code or one missed word in a memo could have serious implications in a business, especially on how it may be perceived by a potential client. I help polish companies' professionalism with personalized training, Lunch and Learns, webinars, and individual coaching.
A survey about what the pain is in today's business communications said:
Misspellings
Miscommunication
People feel they are too busy and don't have the time to proofread
Word choice errors (apart of/a part of) or missed words
Using TEXT talk in non-TEXT talk situations
So called experts saying it's okay not to bother with grammar or spelling -- "Just get your tweet out there as fast as you can"
There are some clear steps one can take to improve their communications skills. I provide the audience with a directive and make them feel like they can go out and immediately apply what they've learned -- hopefully with enthusiasm.
I also help those who get nervous when they think of reading and writing by guiding them to conquer their fear and find their confidence. It starts with small steps to build their stamina, throwing in different deliveries of literacy that will elevate their comfort level, and help them find their literary strengths and improve their weaknesses.
If people can improve their writing abilities, they might become more confident in reading and writing, and ultimately, have more confidence in other areas of their lives. We help them find their voice and help them discover tools where they can share their voice.
