Biography
1-Always do risk management and security the right way. This will satisfy some people and astonish the rest. => 2-The best code is usually coming from the person who can and will get it done without passing the buck or coming back with excuses. => 3-The key to the bottom line in business is the top line. We should not focus just on cost and efficiency, instead we focus on revenue growth because if the latter grows - firm is doing something right.
Urs is the founder and chief technology officer of CyTRAP Labs a firm that focuses on creating value with better risk, security and technology management.
CyTRAP Labs runs an Early Warning System that provides firms and private users with zero-day alerts, security advisories and tips.
Prior to the above, Urs worked in a variety of management and teaching positions at companies including but not limited to Bullguard.com, Aalborg and Stanford University.
Urs is a graduate of the Hoehere Wirtschafts- und Verwaltungsschule (HWV), earning his Bachelors degree in Public Admin and Law. He earned his MBA at the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management - Claremont Graduate University and also earned his Doctorate in Informatics from Claremont Graduate University.
Urs was born in Zurich, and after spending most of his life in North America. Now resides in Zurich, after a five year detour through Denmark. He has 2 children.
In his spare time Urs enjoys hiking, reading and skiing.
