Biography
Christine Reich is Manager of Research and Evaluation at the Museum of Science, Boston, where she has worked for 10 years. She began her career at the Museum of Science as an exhibit planner, working on exhibitions such the nationally touring Secrets of Aging, which specifically targeted older adults and intergenerational family groups as its primary audience, and Making Models, which engaged visitors a broad range of abilities and disabilities in the science inquiry process. Currently, Christine Reich oversees research and evaluation efforts related to informal learning at the Museum of Science. Her efforts continue to focus on issues related to equity and access in museum learning environments.
In addition to her work at the Museum of Science, Ms. Reich instructed the “Visitor Studies” course at the Harvard University Extension School, served on the editorial board of the Association of Science-Technology Center’s journal Dimensions, and is Secretary/Treasurer for the Committee for Audience Research and Evaluation, a Standing Professional Committee of the American Association of Museums. Ms. Reich has a Bachelor of Science in agricultural and biological engineering from Cornell University, a Certificate in museum studies from Harvard University, a Masters of Education from Lesley University, and is working towards a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction at Boston College.
