Biography

I am seeking a rewarding position in Information Technology Management, where I can employ over 16 years of management and technical experience to contribute to increased productivity, security and profitability.

I am a highly qualified, hands-on Information Technology Director with over 16 years of experience spanning both technical and managerial disciplines. I have spent my entire career managing infrastructure and improving services to maintain 100% availability in 24 by 7 environments. An important part of my management style is to mentor and develop IT staff in order to provide quality of work and development of skills and work toward quality improvements. I strive to ensure that projects and initiatives follow IT & PM best practices, are completed in a timely manner and meet the overall business and operational goals of the organization. My Strategic Planning efforts have included not only planning for utilization of resources and the technical direction of the IT environment for the future while providing continuous improvement and applying lessons learned, but also leveraging the current technology and business environment while looking at the “Big Picture”.

I hold a Master of Science in Information Systems Security, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. Cost/Benefit analysis experience, strong strategic planning, vendor and budget management skills serve my strong project management abilities well. Keen interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills give me the ability to work effectively with all levels in all areas of an organization. I have strong troubleshooting, teambuilding and management skills and can manage multiple concurrent projects well.

My experience includes broad implementation and support of Microsoft products including Exchange Server and Windows server and desktop operating systems utilizing DHCP and DNS, among other services. I have broad network security and disaster planning and recovery knowledge and experience. I have broad knowledge of implementing, supporting and administering PBX and Voice Over IP telephony and voice mail systems.
