Can you name one accomplishment in your life most people might not know about?
Theresa: I single-handedly published a newspaper for 13 months. On a less glamorous note, I milked Jersey cows for a short while when I was in my 20s.

What is the greatest risk you've taken that resulted in failure?
Theresa: That would be Entree: A Publication For and About Women Business Owners. It was the most exhilarating challenge I've taken on, and gave me a sense of personal fulfillment I've not experienced since.

If you had the opportunity to start your own company what would it be?
Theresa: I'd love to run a small press! Discovering and promoting a gifted writer is a wonderful experience.

What is your favorite book and why?
Theresa: There are several. One is Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass, expressing unbounded joy and a fervent love for all life. In Thomas Wolfe's Look Homeward, Angel I discovered a similar expansiveness. His forceful and prolific writing had a profound effect on my own use of words as a tool for expression. And, almost any title by Mary Oliver will be on my "favorites" list. She writes with purity and clarity. Her poetry clears my mind and brings a peaceful smile.

What is your favorite color and what do you think it reflects in your personality?
Theresa: My color of the moment is the sun's yellow. Yellow is all about happiness!

Name a couple of organizations that you belong to
Theresa: I'm a member of the NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English), the Women's Poetry listserv (WOMPO) and an old-time member of MENSA.
