What is your favorite book and why?
Jeanne: To Kill a Mocking Bird is a timeless classic. Atticus Finch is my absolute literary hero. He is an honest and moral local politician and lawyer, and speaks his mind, even if what he says is the truth and unpopular. He understands the difference between taking the course because it is right as opposed to its popularity. Lawyers and local politicians looking for a role model should look to the attributes of Atticus Finch.

If you could see into the future or travel backward in time, which would you choose? Why?
Jeanne: Neither. I would rather live in the present, anticipate the future and reflect on the past.

Name two aspects of your career that you are most passionate about
Jeanne: I have spent my life in state and local government, and I am passionate about restoring and preserving confidence in government by ensuring it is open, participatory and responsive.
I am equally passionate about being results-driven because results lead to confidence and participation.
