If you could see into the future or travel backward in time, which would you choose? Why?
David: Future because I'm always thinking ahead. That's something I learned as a photojournalist. When shooting fast moving action you've got to think at least two steps ahead.

In high school, what was your favorite subject and why?
David: Physics because I had a great teacher and was able to get passable grades by intuitive answers on the test.
I remember one question that asked "how much would a 175 pound man weigh on the moon." While everyone was struggling with the correct equation I simply divided by six and got the right answer. I received partial credit because I didn't do the math but I passed the test.

What was your very first job experience and how did it affect you?
David: Working as a cub reporter for the New Haven (CT) Register. My first real job and it gave me a front seat to watch and report about a wide array of subjects.
We used to say, "you do the same thing every day but every day is different." I learned quite a lot through observation, research and reporting.
