What is your favorite quote and what does it mean to you?
Chelle: "Thunder is just the noise boys, lightening does the work" - it isn't always the most obvious person who will make the most difference in this life

Name a couple of organizations that you belong to
Chelle: Freelance Workers Union + Stony Point Ambulance Corps
|
Name one event that has singlehandedly influenced you most
Chelle: September 11, 2001 - reminded me that anything can happen and we need to stop waiting for our "perfect" opportunities. Tell those you care about how you feel everyday.

In high school, what was your favorite subject and why?
Chelle: I majored in Theatre Arts which was backstage theatre - scenery and lighting design. I enjoyed literally "setting the scene".
|
What was your very first job experience and how did it affect you?
Chelle: Through my high school, I got to work on the lighting for the NYC All-City HS Band Showcase; I met and worked closely with lighting designer Jennifer Tipton. Ms. Tipton was one of the earliest successful FEMALE lighting designers despite the prejudices she encountered. She encouraged me to never let anyone tell me I couldn't do something.

If you could give the world one piece of advice, what would it be?
Chelle: Stop wasting time on anger, it only "eats you up" and doesn't accomplish anything decent.
|
If you could see yourself ten years in the future, what would you be doing?
Chelle: Still writing.
|
When did you first realize what you wanted to do for a career?
Chelle: I always enjoyed creating things, whether it was a stage design, a picture or a story. I had my first newspaper article published when I had just turned 18 years old. But I didn't realize that I wanted to write full-time until I was pregnant with my first child and was looking for "something" to work on from home.
|
Do you love what you do? Why?
Chelle: I still love "setting the scene", I love creating thoughts and communicating ideas. I especially love fiction writing because I create people, places and situations.
