Carey: The Bible. It has the answers to whatever I am going through.

Name one event that has singlehandedly influenced you most
Carey: I'm sorry I have to say 2 events -Being born to deaf parents and being raised in a great church.

What is your favorite color and what do you think it reflects in your personality?
Carey: Blue - I usually have a calming affect on people in a very stressful business.

Name two aspects of your career that you are most passionate about
Carey: 1. Producing high quality television
2. Spreading The Gospel

Describe your most significant on the job success in the last five years
Carey: Producing some of the first hi-definiton TV events along with 5.1 surround sound. The N'SYNC DVD with 23 cameras was off the hook! My favorite shoots I have done have been the New Orleans Jazz Festivals shown on VH-1 and USA networks in HD. Directing major sporting events, like the Olympics, and hundreds of concerts with billions watching all over the world. Speaking at the National Association of Broadcasters meeting. Paying all the bills! :-)

When did you first realize what you wanted to do for a career?
Carey: At the age of 12. I was listening to John Rivers radio show "Powerline" for the Southern Baptist Convention and knew I could be in a cool ministry in radio. Also, my sister's friend worked in radio. I love gadgets and being behind the scenes.

Do you love what you do? Why?
Carey: Absolutely! It is different every single day! I get to travel all over the world working on projects. I have met all kinds of "famous" people. Pope's to Presidents to bushmen in Africa! I have met lots of movie, music, political, famous people. Most are just normal folks like you and me. Plus doing live TV is such a rush!

What was the most important decision you have ever made in regards to your career?
Carey: Being an entrepreneur. I am not an assembly line kind of guy I need flexibilty.

Can you name one accomplishment in your life most people might not know about?
Carey: Being a part of starting the world's largest Christian TV network EWTN. Starting a radio station in Birmingham. Being a licensed minister. Being a college professor.
