Biography
Combining an impressive education with more than a decade of executive management experience, Mr. Norman Meier brings a wide range of skills to his current position as President and CEO of Las Vegas-based Hemis Corporation. Norman Meier maintains extensive experience in the finance industry and holds multiple designations from the Canadian Securities Institute, including a Canadian Investment Manager Designation and the Derivatives Market Specialist Designation. Norman Meier began his career with AWD Independent Financial Services in Switzerland. Hired as a Financial Advisor, Norman Meier was quickly promoted to Team Manager due to his significant skill. During his six-year tenure with AWD Independent Financial Services, Norman Meier assisted a wide range of clients, including both institutional and individual investors. Norman Meier managed a 25-person sales team and was named the company’s best team leader in Europe. Norman Meier received a Financial Planning Designation while employed at AWD Switzerland. Upon leaving AWD Independent Financial Services, Norman Meier worked as an Investment Advisor out of the Vancouver, Canada offices of Canaccord Capital. In this position, Norman Meier provided financial advisory services to a diverse clientele. For his next position, Norman Meier returned to Switzerland to work at Man Investments. Norman Meier delivered substantial revenue increases during his short time with the company and headed a global sales support team. Norman Meier earned his BA, MBA, and PhD from Newport University in Switzerland. For his Doctorate, Norman Meier studied the field of Human Behavior. When he is not working, Norman Meier enjoys writing. To date, Norman Meier has published four books.
