Julia pursued a well-balanced liberal arts education at Dartmouth College. She majored in English literature, with focus on 19th century authors. She expanded her English studies with an advanced study program at the University of Toulouse, France. Here she studied the French language, as well as French history, French architecture and culture. Julia expanded her studies with classwork at the Tuck School of Business, including business ethics and economics. Julia also participated in charitable activities as a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. Julia graduated with a 3.8 GPA in her major in June 1988.
